Production, distribution, and exhibition

 Production

Research production in film is a big part with the companies that produce the film. There are 2 types of production companies. One of them is "the big six", and the independent companies called "the indies".

After filming, film companies often distribute to distribution companies.

There are 5 phases of production or 5 steps

1. Development: You're organizing and planning your film.

2. Pre-production: You're getting the cameras, actors and the budget for your film.

3. Production: A fast, easy process of filmmaking and digital media production.

4. Post-production: After you're done recording the shots for your film, you edit the shots until you're satisfied with what you've done.

5. Distribution: You, the producer, distributes the film to cinemas so that everyone can see what you've made.

Distribution

There are 2 ways to distribute a film

1. Digtial distribution: Transmitted via satellite, sent via broadband, and no shipping costs.

2. Distributing by a company that deals with marketing of a certain film (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc.)

 Exhibition

Exhibition has to deal with a certain release date for cinemas. This is the final step in the film process. This is where the audience comes in. Exhibition is when you put everything together into one. There's public screenings of your film with the payment of the theater's customers.
