How would a filmmaker convince a production company that their film is worth financing

Tell the production company that their idea is not copied, so that it doesn’t get copyrighted. If they say ok, then you and the production company will work on the film. If the film does well in the box office, you will make back their money. For example, if your film had a $4 million budget, and you made $200 million, that’s a lot of money back. However, if your film had a budget of $15 million, and you only made $5 million, that’s a loss.
